firstly yay good job. I guess fair play I would do the same if it was no woman, though I've never seen it. I would block more out of not wanting to interact with a bigot, whereas I think you're probably being kind. Secondly just so sad someone had been through whatever to do that AND then missed out on great men like you who can help balance out the nobheads.

It *is* sad, but the benefit may simply not outweigh the risks involved in finding out. The notion of "treating every gun as loaded, until you have personally confirmed otherwise".
all men online is a big fuckin gun though. I dunno I do hear you and you're obviously right in your kindness. But I often wonder how the kindness should work both ways. Also how much better life would be to heal up before moving in spaces where you could be that triggered, instead of being rude to soooooo many people. Regardless of reason it does send a signal of personal accountability.
Labelers are perhaps the most important part of ATProto that needs to be ported to ActivityPub. Many vulnerable communities would rather have their data be hosted by BlueSky, than deal with the harassment with the limited tools currently in Mastodon for example.
@jgordon On dating apps, I'd sometimes see "blacks only" in the profile of a black woman. Couldn't but imagine the impression it would give if it said white instead.
Well I would like to block or mute any account which makes such a thing, not just this special case. I think there was something that only blacks/whites can reply? I instantly blocked(or muted?) the account.

I’d probably mute rather than block.
Better, I’d love a labeler that could warn me not to interact with a particular poster. Labelers are hard though.

I'd block a person with this in their bio. I've no time for that kind of racism.
I am, however, appreciative that some people - often femmes - will have had problems with men online, and wish to cut that right out.

Conversely, I suppose that a quid pro quo might be that, if men were consistently excellent online and off, there might be fewer such statements?

I know what you do for a job. You must be absolutely awesome at "handling" unpleasant stuff, and segmenting to stay sane.
I am genuinely in awe of you for that.
(To counterbalance this praise, you probably also smell.)

Wait, does this mean they you have different perfumes on different days?!
I have one aftershave and I will use it until it is empty, and then I will buy another, probably the same :)

I will have to get some and give it a go - thanks for the tip!

Because she doesn't really need any more USB C chargers and other such Neil presents.
