The Embassy of Canada in Costa Rica is pleased to invite you to the presentation of Phoenix, a rock opera short film by Canadian filmmaker and composer Bruce Callow, inspired by the real experiences of Canadian United Nations peacekeepers who served in the former Yugoslavia during the 1990s.

Beyond the screen, Phoenix is an international initiative that supports organizations working with vulnerable veterans and people experiencing homelessness in Canada, Costa Rica, and Europe through film screenings, live performances, workshops, and community engagement.

The evening will feature live music inspired by the film's soundtrack, a screening of Phoenix, and a panel discussion with special guests from Canada, Costa Rica, and the United States.
