@heroicthehobbyist True, of course. The main goal of this scenario for me was to show how her brain become indeed lazier. I wanted to expose her reasons, but I also wanted to break her "too moral" perfect appearance with this plot-twist. I'm starting an arc of her without her AI Parrot!
in reply to David Revoy
Now I'm imagining her in the pose like in the second panel of the ignisme/pyrobolus strip, maybe with a more energetic/impish facial expression, and a tornado-like ring/vortex of fire emanating from the center of her open palm …
Kind of like "Muteo!", but fired forward rather than behind?

Designing AI assistants to use natural language, building interfaces that look like message app conversations, even way back when they decided to give early voice assistants human sounding voices (feminine, of course). They deliberately hijacked the human need to socialise, which was one of the most sinister decisions they ever made. Far more, I think, than the whole copyright debacle. sorry, I needed to vent that out.
I hope eventually Cepper can learn to have a real conversation again without it feeling awkward

David, are you aware that Framasoft, the org that you lend your art to, makes use of "AI" "assisted" code and uses software from "AI" companies in at least one of it's projects? Not calling you a hypocrite by any means, but having a whole series of comic strips mocking AI, I feel you should know.

in reply to Skyler

@cloudskater Yes, I'm aware of that, and also for Debian, Fedora, Linux, and more...

At a personal level, I'm still stuck here peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantasyTheater/068.html but I learn to be tolerant with things I disagree now and keep my relations. The world is complex, and I'm not in the shoes of others.

Right now, I'm not anymore interested into wearing the flag of "purity" of activism in this topic.

I'll just kept expressing how I felt about AI from my POV with my comic, sincere and honest, only that counts.

I guess she just had bad experiences with avian intelligence fire spells: peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantasyTheater/028.html

I enjoy having choices: God who whispers in Great Silence of the whirlwind, long lost phantom friend who got me thro the pandemic needs not a word to stir my soul, things that go bump in the night a teeny quake or ghost or Norway rat who refuses to move on as I stare into the smug pitiless ceiling, or AI who talks back ackwardly using we, me, I, AS IF !?!😆. But bless the cats and dogs and wrens in my neighborhood or bldg whose mews woofs perfectly align w my heart.

@kodein @codo Thanks for getting the ref for the Ring of Fire!

Oh, I can easily imagine a revived Johnny Cash parody in decay singing a necromancer version of it. oh jeez, I can't resist a small break while drawing, I have to put this down:

🎶
Death is chilling thing,
And it makes a fiery ring,
Bound by endless moans,
I fell in a ring of bones.
[...]
I went down, down, down where shadows are like stones,
And it chills, chills, chills, the ring of bones, the ring of bones...
🎵
🤣

@glyph I think I found the first one, and I think I might even have actually seen it. Now it all makes sense: peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantasyTheater/027.html
