#Friendica has the ability to display email contacts as bona fide contacts you can receive messages from. (Can't test myself since my inbox is 7 GB large and times out when I connect.) #DeltaChat also uses email as its transfer protocol. Would DeltaChat conversations appear as such on Friendica?

I'm aware that DeltaChat uses IMAP as a transport layer only nowadays, and they're increasingly reliant on relays and their custom web-app format. Still, some basic group functionality in an "everything app" like Friendica (which supports IMAP, RSS, ActivityPub and ATProto, among other less used protocols like Diaspora and OStatus) would be welcome
