But overall I agree with you, and I'd include almost all action films as well. I occasionally catch a stray film on public TV stations and I can't believe people watched that stuff willingly.
@CarstenBoll My assumption is, 90% of the people making movies in the 70s and 80s were doing cocaine, speed, and heroin so everything seemed like a good idea at the time. And the US was getting used to receiving it's culture from the media so the audience didn't really question it. I dunno, I was 5 at the time.
