I have been looking forward to this day for weeks. today is the day that my husband and I could harvest the carrot
not a typo. There is just the one
the others fell victim to the raccoon and to other .. perils ( #Picathecat )
I had such high hopes for this carrot! I knew that we’d need to cut it in half and share it so each of us could get a little bit of the nourishment, but it had grown quite thick … but now having lifted the carrot? I wonder will we survive?

Hope it tastes good, though.

NYC roof-top container garden.
But... we've had better carrots in the past. IDK what happened to this one.

in reply to myrmepropagandist • • •That carrot looks delicious. It is (probably) pure concentrated carrot. 10x the carrot per bite as an ordinary carrot.
I hope you can handle it.

We grow what are supposed to be normal sized tomatoes 2-3 inches across. What we harvest are just a bit smaller than cherry tomatoes :/ They taste better than what's in the shops, but they aren't very filling.
