Unknown parent • • •@techpengu If you want human readable, use VTT. If you use ASS, that's usually to add pixel-perfect 3D animations.
Also, to author VTT, SRT and TTML easily you can use e.g. the free edition of Davinci Resolve.

It's also silly to support the unspecified proprietary ASS format before supporting the actual industry standard for subtitles TTML/ISMC.
