[meta] Would you like to have an automated playlist with the most recent videos from this community?
I'm still working out the bugs, but this is something I wanted for myself. It would let you add the playlist to your app/account, and also let you automatically play the next video.
I'm thinking of the following:
- rolling window of around 50 videos, where older videos get dropped
- a post is only added to the playlist if it has been up for 24 hours, so that spam posts can be removed by mods before getting on to the playlist

I'm not as familiar with invidious/piped, but it should be possible to add all of those links based off of the YouTube playlist? This community doesn't have any rules about what site the videos come from, but the vast majority seem to be from YouTube.
Re-uploading on PeerTube would be a lot more complicated, and the legal side gets more complicated

in reply to TrackenDaKracken • • •It would be a playlist of the videos that people post in this community, I'm not making any videos. Right now I manually open videos from this community and save it to YouTube to watch later, and each one takes a while to load.
As for the setup, I asked LLMs some questions to figure out how to configure the Google account / YouTube permissions, because the official guides seemed out of date and the third party guides contradicted each other. It feels like they don't maintain proper guides anymore
