Why would you deliberately insult your user base like this?
Who needs to sell out to a corporate overlord when you can simply act like one yourself?

Active Wikipedians can sign willingness to do an editorial strike [1], if requested to by WWU.
There's also a petition (effectively) requesting the #WMF Board of Trustees to instruct the CEO to voluntarily recognise #WWU [2], and a more generic solidarity with @wwu petition at [3].

in reply to Joseph Cox • • •wow, went to read the official WMF statement and it reeks of union busting type language.
Especially the "That said, we recognize that if the CWA becomes staffs’ exclusive representative for purposes of collective bargaining, we will have a legal responsibility to avoid dealing directly with staff on their pay, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment.", what a big red flag. Oh and same thing for "If staff elect to maintain a direct relationship with the Foundation, we will continue to work with staff directly on workplace issues."
Yeah, unions are big meanies that want to block staff from discussing with WMF 🥺 Maybe go fuck yourself WMF? 🥺
