Someone keeps texting WMBR during my modern classical radio program insisting that no one wants to hear information about the pieces and composers - that if they did, they could just look it up themselves. There is such a thing as turning the dial.
I include it partly because over the 11 years I've been producing the program, I've included music by over 1000 living composers - and most people would have trouble naming 5.
The kind of person that makes you wish there was a way to find a given user's other social network accounts automatically and sync the block on all of them, right?
As an acquaintance once quipped "His head is so far up his arse he can give himself colonoscopies." It's kind of amazing the number of people whose opinions are of the utmost importance you end up blocking 😆 Closing yourself off to all the world's thought leaders, don't you worry you will miss something?!? 🤣
The problem is that while most of the time these people fizzle out on their own, once in a blue moon they show up to try to "settle things in person" or whatever. That never works out well for them, but it's helpful for there to be a well documented record on file with campus security.
I wish I could get someone to threaten to come to me in person. It would be entertaining to watch them spend thousands on air fare only to find out that the cops would be very unamused.
@xabean I'm clearly dealing with someone who's having some mental health problems, and while I don't want to contribute to their troubles, I also have some boundaries.
@adamshostack @xabean Please consider calling someone other than the police next time. Most cities have organizations that arrive without guns to help people in mental crisis (in #YYC one option is "DOAP" -- now "HELP" -- for possible overdose + drug problems)

Yes, this is totally hinged and proportional.

They emailed back wanting a "face to face conversation" because "I know where your offices are."
That email also didn't improve their chances of being not suspended
