A lot would be better in this world, if Ed Sheeran had told the tour organisers, "I am not playing if Macklemore is not playing".

Instead he chose business over ideals, and now all the bands quit his tour.

I hope Ed Sheeran learns that there is no "being apolitical" in this world. The Russians tried to ignore their genocide, and now their own cities are bombed. The Israelis tried, and now they are being sanctioned.

Closing your eyes does not help you find the right path forward.

People go to concerts to forget real life worries for a couple hours, not to be hit in the face with a strong, unexpected political message.

Sheeran has been forced into a lose-lose situation, whatever he could do was going to upset lots of people.

There are dedicated, political events where to convey political messages, an Ed Sheeran's concert isn't one of them in my opinion.

music has been an avenue of protest since forever

but sure, some people are empty heads who just want a plastic experience

god only knows why they even want to go to a concert then, and suffer the horrible experience of being exposed to a human conscience

this konrad character is selling an agenda. they are not directly attacking the issue, they are shifting the topic to avoid the issue, and framing that avoidance as some kind of virtue

because when people are ambivalent and uninterested, this is a victory for those doing malice in the world

it's manipulation, and it's transparent

I have to wonder about a couple of musicians I've been listening to. Leonard Cohen, and John Mann. I like the music... But I really wonder what was up with the music, when I listen to what was said... Leonard Cohen, it's a lot of straight male stuff that feels, "not right"... John Mann, December Looms is rather disturbing (not the whole way through). But yes, a lot of music I listen to is political.

TC Won't Give In To Lies

It's never too late to make a good choice.

#Sheeran can still save the situation by going on stage in MA and saying:
- Free Palestine
- Robert Kraft is trying to control what you hear from the stage
- Robert Kraft is a billionaire who is in the #EpsteinFiles and was caught on video "allegedly" soliciting prostitution.

Edit: Sheeran can keep is show 'friendly' and simply issue the above as a statement. Better still, move to a different MA facility & bring Macklemore.

i would argue that in the best of cases it wouldn't achieve anything. or, more likely, it would do more harm.

this makes sense when the cause lacks attention. but when the entire world has been bombarded with it for years now ... all it does is create even more discord among two already opposing and well established sides.

by this point everyone picked a side and they're not going to change their mind because some rapper told them to.
